 Some of the photos I shot on my first weekend with a DSLR- my old D70, now relegated to reserve...I was camping at Eweleaze Farm in Dorset, August 2005. That weekend we won the Trent Bridge test against the Aussies. When we scored the winning runs the campsite went nutty. |

 2011 saw a renewal in my interest in steam trains on the UK's mainlines.Hundreds of people indulge this activity, it's not trainspotting for me, it's creating interesting, well composed images to display the size and "living" nature of these pieces of machinery. |
Away
Photographs taken away from the UK and Ireland. I usually holiday at Christmas and New Year, adding to my carbon footprint by making a flight to somewhere sunny with lots of birds...

 Images from the "Pinnacles" desert in Nambung national park, Western Australia.The pinnacles themselves are the remnants of a hugely eroded "Karst" landscape, if one is familiar with The Burren in Ireland it is possible to imagine that the landscape of the Nambung area looked like that at one stage.
